I led the migration of the Furniture Academy website to a dedicated server — upgrading the LAMP stack to current versions of Ubuntu, Apache, PHP, and MySQL, layering on SEO optimization, and later moving the database to Cloud SQL on Google Cloud for cloud-native performance.
A Site Outgrowing Its Home
Furniture Academy needed more than a working website — it needed stability, security, scalability, and visibility. That meant a dedicated server, a modern LAMP stack, real SEO, and eventually a cloud-native database, all without disrupting the live site along the way.
What I Delivered

Dedicated server migration
Migrated the site to a dedicated server for stability, security, and room to scale.

Modern LAMP stack
Upgraded to current Ubuntu, Apache, PHP, and MySQL for a solid, secure foundation.

SEO optimization
Implemented SEO strategies to improve the site's visibility and organic reach.

Cloud SQL database
Later migrated MySQL to Cloud SQL on GCP for high-performance, cloud-native data.

The Impact
A faster, more secure, better-ranked Furniture Academy — running on a modern LAMP stack and a cloud-native database, with SEO working to bring in the visibility a good platform deserves.
Built to Be Found
A great platform nobody can find isn’t doing its job. Modernizing the stack, moving the database to the cloud, and optimizing for search turned Furniture Academy into a site that’s fast, secure, and discoverable.
