In this project, I spearheaded the creation of a sophisticated Wi-Fi system for both guests and employees, leveraging PFsense captive portal and the UniFi system. The core innovation of this system was its ability to authenticate users within our Microsoft environment, thereby facilitating seamless Single Sign-On (SSO) in line with our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies.
This system was meticulously designed to ensure robust security without compromising user convenience. By integrating identity fingerprinting and secure routing protocols, we maintained a high level of security integrity, safeguarding both our internal network and the users’ data. The implementation of this Wi-Fi system significantly improved network accessibility for guests and employees, while ensuring compliance with our stringent security standards.
