I spearheaded the technology buildout for La-Z-Boy Southeast’s new Providence Road administrative office — the back-of-house hub supporting the stores — ordering, configuring, and deploying its hardware and software, and managing the contractors who put the infrastructure in its walls.
The Office Behind the Stores
An admin office doesn’t sell furniture, but every store depends on it. This buildout had different needs than a showroom — workstations, back-office systems, meeting spaces — and the same non-negotiable: fully operational from day one.
What I Delivered

Workstation deployment
Ordered, configured, and deployed the workstations the administrative team runs on.

Low-voltage infrastructure
Managed contractors through cabling and infrastructure tailored to office operations.

Systems & software
Stood up the software stack aligned to how the office actually works — from day one.

Contractor management
Coordinated the trades so construction, cabling, and IT landed in the right order.
Skills & Tools

The Impact
The office was operating efficiently from day one — the third site opening of 2017, delivered to the same standard the stores set: walk in, sit down, everything works.
Day-One Operational
Three site openings in one year — two stores and the office that supports them. The pattern held every time: plan the technology with the building, not after it.
